The First Player To Hit 600 Career Home RunsSports TriviaOn August 21, 1931 at Sportsman's Park in St. Louis, Babe Ruth became the first person in baseball history to hit 600 home runs in his career. In The third inning Ruth hit a pitch from St. Louis Browns pitcher George Blaeholder over the right-field wall, hitting a parked car. The Yankees went on to beat the Browns 11-7.
