American Airlines A300 Crashes In Queens NY

Only three minutes into its flight, an American Airlines flight 587 from New York to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic crashed in Queens, New York on November 12, 2001. The plane, an Airbus A300 apparently lost its vertical stabilizer and crashed into a Queens neighbourhood already mourning the loss of many residents in the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center. 251 passengers and 9 crew members lost their lives in the crash.
