The Montreal Massacre

On December 6, 1989, 25 year old Marc Lepine walked into Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal, Quebec with a gun. Beginning at just after five PM and lasting for 20-minutes Lepine went on a rampage that would leave 14 women dead and 13 other people injured. Lepine ended the massacre by turning the gun on himself. The incident became a rallying cry for ending violence against women and domestic abuse.
