Online Fraud Hits $18 Million For 2001

The Internet Fraud Complaint Center released figures showing that nearly 10,000 Americans were victims of fraud over the Internet in 2001 with total losses of $18 million. Almost half of the 16,775 cases investigated by the center were related to online auctions.
