Madeline Mann was born in 1989 with the lowest birth weight of any surviving premature birth. She was born by Caesarean section, 13 weeks premature, when her mother developed pre-eclampsia. She was 9.9 ounces and 10 inches at birth.

Despite her humble beginnings, she has developed normally and now lives in Chicago.
