After a day of every increasing jumps to build up to his world record attempt, Ryan Capes jumped his 250cc motorcycle from a ramp to a dirt landing ramp covering a total distance of 260 feet on September 19, 2003 at the Las Vegas Speedway, Las Vegas, Nevada. Capes hopes to continue to extend the record eventually surpassing 300 feet.
