Children's Television Pioneer Dies At 74

Children's television pioneer Fred Rogers, known best for Mr. Rogers' Neighbourhood, died in the morning of February 27, 2003 at the age of 74. Rogers lost his fight with stomach cancer at his home in Pittsburgh. Mr. Rogers' Neighbourhood first aired in 1966 on public television and aired it's last episode in August 2001. Rogers was an ordained Presbyterian minister.
