Deadly Fire At A Rhode Island Nightclub Rock Concert

On Thursday, February 20, 2003 during a Great White concert in The Station night club in Rhode Island, a pyrotechnic display started a deadly fire in the crowded club. Fire engulfed the entire structure within three and a half minutes.

Although there were four exits, all but a few people tried to get out the main entrance making it impossible to get everyone out in time.

Of the just under 300 people in the club, 100 people were killed and 97 were injured. Many survivors received serious burns. Among the dead was Great White guitarist Ty Longley.
