Sniper Killer Finally Captured After Killing Ten

After a three week killing spree in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. John Allen Muhammad and his accomplice John Lee Malvo were captured on October 24, 2002.

Over the three week period Muhammad (a gulf war veteran) killed ten people and wounded four others seriously. Eleven days before the D.C. area killings he also killed a woman in a September 21st Alabama liquor store robbery. The Bushmaster .223 rifle used by Muhammad was found in the car after his arrest.
